Labistatin Pharmacologie
La simvastatine, la forme méthylée de la lovastatine, est un agent oral qui inhibe antilipémique HMG-CoA réductase. simvastatine est utilisé dans le traitement de l'hypercholestérolémie primaire et est efficace dans la réduction totale et de LDL-cholestérol plasmatique ainsi que les triglycérides et d'apolipoprotéine B.
Labistatin Absorption
L'absorption de la simvastatine, estimée par rapport à une dose de référence par voie intraveineuse, dans chacune des deux espèces animales testées, en moyenne environ 85% d'une dose orale. Dans les études animales, après administration orale, la simvastatine atteint des concentrations nettement plus élevés dans le foie que dans des tissus non ciblés.

Patients should be advised about substances they should not take concomitantly with simvastatin and be advised to report promptly unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness. Patients should also be advised to inform other physicians prescribing a new medication that they are taking ZOCOR.
