    Metoprolol, un antagonista competitivo, adrenérgicos beta1-selectivo (cardioselectivo), es similar a atenolol en su moderada solubilidad en lípidos, la falta de actividad simpaticomimética intrínseca (ISA), y la membrana débil estabilización de la actividad (MSA).
