    Pour la réduction des événements athéroscléreux (infarctus du myocarde, d'AVC et décès d'origine vasculaire) chez les patients atteints d'athérosclérose documentée par accident vasculaire cérébral récent, infarctus du myocarde récent ou d'artériopathie périphérique établie

    Plavix Pharmacologie

    Le clopidogrel, un agent antiplaquettaire structurellement et pharmacologiquement analogue à la ticlopidine, est utilisé pour réduire les événements d'athérosclérose tels que l'infarctus du myocarde, d'AVC et décès d'origine vasculaire chez les patients qui ont eu un accident vasculaire cérébral récent, infarctus du myocarde récent, ou ont établi des maladies vasculaires périphériques.

    Plavix Absorption

    L'absorption est d'au moins 50% sur la base d'excrétion urinaire de clopidogrel liés métabolites. Biodisponibilité n'a pas été trouvé d'être affectée par les aliments.

    Plavix Toxicite

    Les symptômes de toxicité aiguë comprennent vomissements (chez les babouins), prostration, respiration difficile, et l'hémorragie gastro-intestinale.

    Plavix Information pour les patients

    Patients should be told that they may bleed more easily and it may take them longer than usual to stop bleeding when they take Plavix or Plavix combined with aspirin, and that they should report any unusual bleeding to their physician. Patients should inform physicians and dentists that they are taking Plavix and/or any other product known to affect bleeding before any surgery is scheduled and before any new drug is taken.
