    Pour le traitement topique du tinea pedis interdigitaux chez des patients immunocompétents de 12 ans et plus, causée par Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, et Epidermophyton floccosum.

    Sertaconazole Pharmacologie

    Sertaconazole est un agent de type imidazole / triazole antifongique. Sertaconazole est un inhibiteur hautement sélectif de fongiques cytochrome P-450 de stérol C-14 α-déméthylation par l'inhibition de l'enzyme cytochrome P450 14α-déméthylase. Cette enzyme convertit lanostérol d'ergostérol et est nécessaire à la synthèse de la paroi cellulaire des champignons. La perte subséquente de stérols normale est corrélée à l'accumulation de 14 α-méthyl stérols dans les champignons et peut être en partie responsable de l'activité fongistatique du fluconazole. Déméthylation de cellules de mammifères est beaucoup moins sensible à l'inhibition de fluconazole. Sertaconazole expositions activité in vitro contre Cryptococcus neoformans et Candida sp. Activité fongistatique a également été démontrée dans des modèles animaux normaux et immunodéprimés pour fongiques systémiques et intracrâniennes infections dues à Cryptococcus neoformans et d'infections systémiques dues au Candida albicans.

    Sertaconazole Information pour les patients

    The patient should be instructed to:
    1. Use Sertaconazole Cream, 2%, as directed by the physician. The hands should be washed after applying the medication to the affected area(s). Avoid contact with the eyes, nose, mouth and other mucous membranes. Sertaconazole Cream, 2%, is for external use only.
    2. Dry the affected area(s) thoroughly before application, if you wish to use Sertaconazole Cream, 2%, after bathing.
    3. Use the medication for the full treatment time recommended by the physician, even though symptoms may have improved. Notify the physician if there is no improvement after the end of the prescribed treatment period, or sooner, if the condition worsens.
    4. Inform the physician if the area of application shows signs of increased irritation, redness, itching, burning, blistering, swelling or oozing.
    5. Avoid the use of occlusive dressings unless otherwise directed by the physician.
    6. Do not use this medication for any disorder other than that for which it was prescribed.
