Streptothricin B Pharmacologie
Framycétine est utilisé pour le traitement des infections oculaires bactériennes telles que la conjonctivite. Framycétine est un antibiotique. Il n'est pas actif contre les champignons, les virus et la plupart des types de bactéries anaérobies. Framycétine agit en se liant à l'bactérienne sous-unité 30S du ribosome, provoquant lecture erronée de t-ARN, laissant la bactérie incapable de synthétiser des protéines essentielles à sa croissance. Framycétine est principalement utile dans les infections impliquant des bactéries aérobies.
