    Clarithromycin Indication

    Pour le traitement de l'infection bactérienne de (pharyngite / amygdalite, sinusite, bronchite, pneumonie, infections cutanées non compliquées et structure de la peau) causée par H. influenzae, M. catarrhalis, M. pneumoniae, , S. pneumoniae, C. pneumoniae (TWAR), S. aureus, S. pyogenes, Mycobacterium avium et Mycobacterium intracellulare

    Clarithromycin Pharmacologie

    Clarithromycine, un antibiotique macrolide similaire à l'érythromycine et l'azithromycine, est efficace contre le complexe Mycobacterium avium (MAC) et est utilisé pour le traitement de l'Helicobacter pylori associée peptique ulcère, une pneumonie communautaire, la sinusite et la bronchite chronique. La clarithromycine est également utilisée pour traiter des voies respiratoires, maladies sexuellement transmissibles, l'otite moyenne et infections liées au sida.

    Les symptômes de toxicité comprennent la diarrhée, des nausées, altération du goût, dyspepsie et douleurs abdominales. Colite pseudo-membraneuse ont été rapportés avec l'utilisation de la clarithromycine, des réactions allergiques allant de éruptions cutanées légères à l'urticaire et de rares cas d'anaphylaxie et syndrome de Stevens-Johnson ont eu lieu. De rares cas de dysfonctionnements hépatiques sévères ont également été rapportés. Insuffisance hépatique est habituellement réversibles, mais les décès ont été rapportés.

    Clarithromycin Information pour les patients

    Clarithromycin is an antibiotic used to treat infections such as sinus infections, throat infections, tonsil infections and other lung related infections. It can be used by some patients to prevent infections. It is important that you take this medication for the full period of time your doctor has prescribed it, even if you feel better after a day or two. This medication should not be taken by those with an allergy to erythromycin. There are several significant drug interactions with clarithromycin. Make sure to have your doctor or pharmacist fully evaluate all medications you might be taking and ask them about drug interactions. The most common side effects reported include taste disturbances, diarrhea and nausea, occurring in approximately 3% of patients. Clarithromycin can be taken with or without food. Unlike other suspensions (liquid forms), this suspension should not be refrigerated.
