    Pour le traitement (en combinaison avec l'amphotéricine B) des infections graves causées par des souches sensibles de Candida (septicémie, endocardite et les infections du système urinaire) et / ou Cryptococcus (méningite et les infections pulmonaires).

    Ancobon (TN) Pharmacologie

    Flucytosine est un antimétabolite qui agit comme un agent antifongique avec in vitro et in vivo l'activité contre Candida et Cryptococcus. Flucytosine pénètre dans la cellule fongique via la cytosine perméase, ainsi, la flucytosine est métabolisé en 5-fluorouracile dans les organismes fongiques. Le 5-fluorouracile est largement incorporées dans l'ARN fongique et inhibe la synthèse d'ADN et d'ARN. Le résultat est déséquilibrée croissance et mort de l'organisme fongique. Synergie entre les antifongiques et antibiotiques polyènes Ancobon, notamment l'amphotéricine B, ont été rapportés.

    Bone marrow toxicity can cause anemia, leukopenia, pancytopenia, thrombocytopenia and, rarely, agranulocytosis and eosinophilia. Other side effects can be nausea, vomiting, anorexia, bloating, diarrhea, and, rarely, bowel perforation. Reversible elevations in liver enzymes have been reported. Occasionally, rashes may be a side effect. Some side effects that have only been seen very rarely are confusion, hallucinations, headaches, sedation, vertigo and liver enlargement.There has also been a case of severe allergic-type reaction to the drug in at least one person with AIDS. This type of reaction is called anaphylaxis.
