Stability

    Stable, but may discolour upon exposure to light. Incompatible with strong oxidizing agents, alkali metals.

Toxicology

    May be harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. May cause an allergic reaction. [Note: Cephalosporins and penicillins have similar chemical structures. Because of this, it is believed that those individuals who are allergic to one class of compounds may show an increased risk of cross-allergenicity when a member of the other class is encountered.] May act as a sensitizer if inhaled or in contact with the skin.
