    Métoprolol, un antagoniste compétitif, beta1-adrénergiques sélectifs (cardiosélectif), est similaire à l'aténolol dans sa liposolubilité modérée, manque d'activité sympathomimétique intrinsèque (ASI), et la membrane faibles stabilisation de l'activité (MSA).
