    Biotrakson Pharmacologie

    La ceftriaxone est une céphalosporine / céphamycine bêta-lactamines antibiotique utilisé dans le traitement des infections bactériennes causées par des, généralement gram-positives, les organismes. La ceftriaxone a une activité in vitro contre les bactéries gram-positives et gram-négatives bactéries aérobies et anaérobies. L'activité bactéricide de la ceftriaxone résultats de l'inhibition de la synthèse de la paroi cellulaire et est médiée par ceftriaxone contraignante aux protéines liant la pénicilline (PLP). La ceftriaxone est stable par rapport à l'hydrolyse par une variété de bêta-lactamases, y compris pénicillinases et les céphalosporinases et à spectre étendu des bêta-lactamases.

    Patient Information:

    Patients should be counseled that antibacterial drugs including Ceftriaxone should only be used to
    treat bacterial infections. They do not treat viral infections (eg, common cold). When Ceftriaxone
    is prescribed to treat a bacterial infection, patients should be told that although it is common
    to feel better early in the course of therapy, the medication should be taken exactly as directed.
    Skipping doses or not completing the full course of therapy may (1) decrease the effectiveness of
    the immediate treatment and (2) increase the likelihood that bacteria will develop resistance and
    will not be treatable by Ceftriaxone or other antibacterial drugs in the future.
